Rather than offering one-size-fits-all design packages, every proposal is customized based on the scope of your project and the level of support you need..

I'm based in the Seattle area and primarily work throughout the Pacific Northwest. Depending on the scope of the project, travel may also be available.

How do I get started?

Every project begins with an initial $250 consultation, paid in advance to secure your consultation date. This is our opportunity to walk through your home, discuss how you live, understand what's working (and what isn't), review your inspiration, talk through your goals, and establish a realistic investment range. Following the consultation, I'll prepare a customized proposal outlining the scope of work, design fee, and next steps. Once everything is approved, we can officially begin designing your space.

Is the consultation required?

The consultation is an important first step because it allows me to fully understand your project before recommending a design approach. Every home is different, and taking the time to evaluate the space helps ensure the proposal accurately reflects the amount of work involved. It's also a chance for us to get to know each other, answer questions, and make sure we're a good fit before moving forward.

How long does the consultation take?

Most consultations take between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the project. I never want clients to feel rushed, so I allow plenty of time for questions and discussion.

What happens during the consultation?

We'll spend time discussing both the practical and creative aspects of your project. This typically includes walking through your space, reviewing inspiration images, talking about how you use each room, identifying any challenges you'd like to solve, discussing your timeline and budget, and answering any questions you may have about the process. If we're moving forward with a furnishing project, we'll also talk about furniture styles, comfort preferences, materials you love (or don't love), existing pieces you'd like to keep, and how you'd like your home to feel once everything is complete.

What should I prepare before our consultation?

If you have inspiration images, Pinterest boards, floor plans, or photos of your space, those are all incredibly helpful. It's also helpful to think about how you want your home to feel, not just how you want it to look. Words like cozy, calm, sophisticated, welcoming, relaxed, or collected often tell me more than a specific design style. If you already have a general investment range in mind, that's helpful too. It allows me to create a design that's realistic from the very beginning.

What if I don't know my style?

That's actually very common. Many people know how they want their home to feel, but don't necessarily know what to call that style. Rather than focusing on labels, I like to understand what you're naturally drawn to. We'll look at inspiration together, talk about what you love (and just as importantly, what you don't), and identify the common themes that will guide the design. By the end of the process, your home shouldn't feel like a particular trend. It should simply feel like you.

Do you only work in one design style?

No. Every home I design is unique. Rather than applying one signature look to every project, I focus on creating interiors that reflect each client's personality, lifestyle, and the architecture of their home.

Do you offer virtual interior design?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the project, yes. While I believe the best results come from experiencing a space in person, virtual design may be available for certain projects. If you're interested, feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to discuss whether it's a good fit.

What if I already have Pinterest boards?

Accepted Answer

Perfect. Pinterest is a great starting point because it helps me understand what you're consistently drawn to. Even if the images vary quite a bit, there are usually common threads in terms of materials, colors, shapes, textures, or overall feeling. We'll use those images as inspiration while designing a home that's tailored specifically to your space rather than copying someone else's.

Not necessarily. Some clients hire me to furnish a single room, while others need help with an entire home. Every project is different. If you're unsure whether your project is a good fit, feel free to reach out. I'd be happy to discuss it with you.

Not every project needs to start from scratch. If there are pieces you love or items with sentimental value, I'm always happy to incorporate them whenever it makes sense. During the consultation we'll discuss what works well, what might feel out of place, and where investing in new pieces will have the greatest impact.

You don't need to know exactly what you want before reaching out. In fact, many of my clients come to me because they feel overwhelmed by all the choices available. My role is to simplify the process, guide you through each decision, and create a home that's both beautiful and deeply personal.

Whether you're planning a renovation, building a new home, or furnishing an existing space, involving an interior designer early in the process creates the greatest opportunity to make thoughtful decisions and avoid costly changes later on. Because I work with a limited number of projects at a time, availability can vary, so I always recommend reaching out as soon as you're considering a project.
